Emptying the pool
The pool is almost empty and has been done slowly to not stress the wall pressure.
On Monday 20th January 2025 we will begin to strip the existing tiles
We will also arrange for a skip to be delivered to our appointed location and the tile delivery will come early next week.
We plan first to strip the top of the children pool so we can ascertain the depth we have on the tops of the wall so that we can offer some options for a non-slip contrasting tile which will make this section more visable (as requested)

Pool complete!
This project went very smoothly and we have been really lucky with minimal disruption due to weather.
The pool was completely stripped of the old tiles and the original adhesive was shaved away before getting a coat of waterproof plaster to provide a good surface for the waterproofing coats. we then re-tanked with 2 coats of waterproofing and allowed to dry before tiling began.
Tiles were given an "invisible" cut to cope with the apex areas of the curved walls and levelled up the difference where the pool was not quite level so that we don't have big thick grout lines at the top or bottom of the pool.
We also supplied made to measure non-slip marble for the top of the kids pool and the treads of the steps to mitigate the need for horrible plastic tile edging.
The feedback from the site has been fantastic and we can't wait to see it with water in!
